The 20 years old tradition continues this year with eBIT’s sponsorship. The „Valley of Arts” Festival, which received a new name this year: „Valley of Magic”, is the biggest Hungarian parade of fine and performance arts close to the lake Balaton. The town of Kapolcs and the nearby villages, just like in the previous years, host the artists and their 200,000 enthusiastic audience. We are proud to sponsor the Valley of Magic festival, and pleased to contribute to the long tradition of the festival and the entertainment of the valley-dwellers.

eBIT Partner Mr. András SZABOLCS, responsible for eBIT's Strategy & Audit business line gave keynote speach at ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) Audit Conference. Mr. Szabolcs' presentation gave guidelines on auditing privileged accesses,  security parameters settings, logical access controls and application based logging in SAP systems.

EBIT partner, Mr. András Szabolcs responsible for eBIT Strategy &Audit business line has recently published his article on controlling segregation of duties (SOD). In the 2008/36 edition of IT-Business he shared his thoughts about the importance of auditing access combinations in order to prevent fraudulent activities. He provides detailed technical recommendations on monitoring SOD in SAP, as well as business advices on the implementation of this frequently overseen control.

eBIT partner Zsombor IMRE gave a presentation at an ITD Hungary (Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency) event on on 30/10/2008 on e-business strategies and best practices applicable to local SMEs supporting their international expansion.

eBIT gave a comprehensive training to Microsoft Dynamics partners on the second version of Microsoft's Sure Step project management methodology at MS HQ on 31/10/2008. The training included a live demo, a deep dive session and a real 'proof of concept' section where the methodology was matched against real-life project management pain points.

eBIT has reached another important milestone in its development with opening its second project office in Kaposvár, Hungary. The Kaposvár office strenghtens eBIT's presence in the West-Hungarian region and provides further support for local project work.

We fully recycle the white (or already recycled) paper with the help of our green paper manufacturer partner; Nova Papir Inc. Nearly 100% of the waste paper we produce will turn up somewhere as recycled paper again.

eBIT had its first jazz event, the eBIT Jazz Club on 17th March, 2009. The special event of the night was the concert by two internationally renowned jazzmen, bringing the audience to some exciting and extraordinary fields of jazz music.

At the piano an honored Bulgarian composer and improviser, Lubomir Denev introduced his own jazz compositions with intonations easily recognizable after the characteristic combinations of Balkan modes and rhythms with the jazz idiom. He was complemented by Attila László on the guitar, a Liszt-award winner and well-known jazz musician and composer of Hungary. The duo covered popular jazz standards and own compositions, made even more exciting by their colorful play and virtuoso improvisations.

The event was opened by the speech of Liana Usunova, commercial attache from the Bulgarian embassy. It was covered by the Hungarian Television in a short introduction and was supported by the Hungarian-Bulgarian cultural radio, and was also a respected and prominent event of Hungarian Jazz scene.

We would like to thank our guests for joining us this night that we hope will be the first event of a long lasting tradition.

eBIT partner Zsombor IMRE, MVP, as an initial step of the Baltic rollout of the product, made a presentation to Latvian Microsoft partner companies on the new features of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. The presentation covered the new features, upgrade considerations and deep-dive sessions in various modules and BI functionalities. The event took place on 20/04/2009 in Riga, Latvia.

eBIT has successfully held its annual team-buliding event between 4-7th September in Milan. Besides having good times together and enjoying the beautiful landscapes of charming Lombardia serius work was also done; we were fine tuning our mid-range strategy to current business oppotunities.

eBIT partner, András Szabolcs was elected as board member of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) Hungary Chapter. ISACA is to represent the cca. 400 information system control, security and governance professionals in Hungary. He will act as the treasurer of the organization and his responsibilities will include, amongst others, harmonization of standards and procedures with the international ISACA regulations.
